Subaru Cup June 25 & 26, 2011
Races: WORS is America’s largest state mountain bike racing series, and in addition to the Pro races, the Subaru Cup will host a full slate of amateur racing with ability categories and age classes for everyone.
- Legacy Cross Country (XC): The Legacy Cross-Country course takes it up a notch with a challenging mix of punchy climbs, forested single-track, fast descents, rock gardens, technical switch backs, and fast traverses while providing options for racers of all abilities. Racers pass through the area in front of the lodge several times each lap to provide outstanding spectator opportunities. Pro, Cat 1 and Cat 2 classes race on Saturday, June 25. - Midwest Regional Championships: The Subaru Cup Legacy XC races will again host the USA Cycling Midwest Regional Mountain Bike Championships to name the top pro and amateur racers in the Midwest. States in the Midwest Region are Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin, Iowa, Missouri, Nebraska, Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota.
- Impreza Short Track, presented by Salty Wench Organic Sea Salt Seasonings : Sometimes referred to as the “hurricane of pain”, Short Track is a lightening fast race of short duration on a compact, off-road course. Great for spectating, and for those racing, the pain is far surpassed by the adrenaline rush of cheering fans. - Outback Super D: The course for this super downhill and super fun event is a reverse run of the longest singletrack climb of the Pro XC course, with a few extra descent sections added, and a run-out to the finish line near the lodge.
- WORS Kid’s Race presented by the Titletown Flyers Mountain Bike Team: This everyone-is-a-winner event is a hit with both young and old. Be there at 5:15 PM on Saturday after the finish of the Pro Men’s event to catch the racing action for competitors 10 and under.
